Engineering leader · Developer consultant
I build teams and systems that keep running.
Most of my work is in fintech and payments, where the systems move other people's money and mistakes are expensive. I have led that kind of engineering, and I still write the code.
About
I have led engineering teams through incidents, audits, and long product builds, and I have shipped plenty of code myself. The leadership part of the job is concrete: clear direction, fewer blockers, calm when production breaks, honesty about tradeoffs.
Technically I am at home in backend services, senior in both C#/.NET and Rust, and comfortable in the platform work around them: CI/CD, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, observability. I like software that is boring to operate and easy to reason about, because in regulated environments every change has to hold up to scrutiny.
